The special-edition Made in USA 1300JP, only available once every five years, returns with all the unique qualities that made the original a masterpiece of footwear design. Back for the brand's annual "Grey Days" celebration, the shoe's premium craftsmanship pairs a slate blue mesh and greenish/grey nubuck upper on top of a full-length ENCAP sole unit, a revolutionary development at the time of its mid-‘80s creation. The running silhouette, a sleek, visible progression from the previous era’s nylon racing flats, remains stylish without being overwhelmingly technical. An NB 1300 woven tongue tag, thick N on the sides, printed "new balance" on the heels, leather lining, silver laces and special edition 1985 packaging finish off the release.
